A Yoga Retreat for Women That Feel Overworked
A Yoga Retreat for Women That Feel Overworked
As women we are expected to wear many hats, sometimes all at the same time and that can feel overwhelming.
Are you a woman that sometimes feels overwhelmed with the demands of family, work, and or other life responsibilities?
Are you running back and forth between appointments, activities, errands and barely have time to squeeze in a bubble bath or a long walk by yourself just so you can breathe, think, and feel?
Do you crave time with other like-minded women to build friendships?
If any of these things sound like you then this Yoga Retreat is for you!
Come enjoy a relaxing 4 day weekend where you will have the opportunity to rediscover your passions, so you can feel connected and inspired.
Step into the world of self discovery and reignite your identity by letting go of unnecessary expectations.
Peel back the layers of your “titles” to allow your authenticity to shine through and be seen for who you truly are.
Allow yourself some time for deep care where you will be supported by others that know and can relate to you in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Imagine being well cared for while you have time to think outside the boxes of your daily life.
Waking up in a beautiful location with the sounds of nature, enjoying a coffee, tea or orange juice, nibbling on fresh fruit and bagels that have been provided for you.
Enjoying a yoga practice to get our bodies moving and release any unnecessary thoughts or distractions, so we can feel embodied and present for the day's activities.
Taking time for ourselves to fill our own cups will allow us the ability to be more present with those we love, daily life and responsibilities.
We will then workshop ideas together though journal prompts and group discussions with mindfulness activities to have a road map in hand to move forward.
Lunch will be provided and we'll take some time to walk around the property to allow for some reflection, grounding and presence.
There will then be a community dinner where we will take more time to get to know each other and feel nourished.
Another evening yoga practice to feel rested, restored and connected.
We will then nestle into our beds. All rooms are shared, so consider bringing a friend or simply make a new one while at retreat.
To allow clearness of mind and the most comfortable experience for everyone there will
no alcohol allowed at this event.
All food will be provided, we will prepare meals together and allergies will be accommodated.
Meet Your Host
Yoga found me at the most difficult time of my life. I was dealing with depression, anxiety, and unbearable back pain.
I was engaging in unhealthy coping mechanisms that left me feeling even more drained and unhealthy.
If I kept going the way I was going it would become a downward spiral, so I took up yoga and found healing in a way I didn’t know was possible.
I knew I needed to share this gift of healing with others, so I became a yoga teacher.
I’m excited to be facilitating this retreat and meeting you!

Hear What My Students Have to Say
It took me too long to finally show up to yoga with Shauna.
A lot of it had to do with time, but really it came down to stepping out of my comfort zone. I was afraid, I didn't know what to expect and I didn't want to be embarrassed.
I am so happy I finally found time to try it! I never want to miss a week; it is such an important part of my week. 1 hour of peace!
Shauna is so helpful and friendly! She is perfect at making every person feel comfortable.
Anytime I am unsure if I am doing a move correctly, she will quietly speak out a reminder to the group. Never calling anyone out specifically, but always giving encouragement to go at your own pace for your body!
If you haven't tried yoga before this is the perfect place to start. If you have, great, you'll have a beautiful space to practice and an amazing instructor.
Thank you, Shauna! My days have been better since I met you!
I have been privileged to know Shauna, in several different capacities:
1) As my yoga mentor.
2) As a business partner.
3) As my yoga instructor.
Shauna was experiencing one of the darkest moments of her life during most of this. When I asked her how she was able to remain so calm and peaceful, she gave full credit to the yoga she was studying and implementing.
Yoga has become a passion and way of life for Shauna. She knows how to put her students and friends at ease, both on and off the mat.
I know of a young man who prefers to do Yoga with Shauna and will travel the 30-minute distance on a Saturday morning, just so he can practice with her.
He says he not only loves the setting, and the great causes Shauna supports, but her energy.
I hope you will come and discover Shauna's quietly wonderful strengths for yourself through her yoga classes and trainings.
